Be honest, when you think of marshmallows, is one of the top 3 things you think of “s’mores”? It’s completely natural, after all, who wouldn’t love a s’more We’ve see the classic dessert move away from the campfire and come into our homes. It’s a tried and true classic that never goes out of style.

But, there are so many more things you can do with marshmallows that it almost makes it criminal that s’mores has dominated this particular food for so long. And thus marshmallows are so much more than just s'mores.
There is also of course, rice cereal bars and rocky road with the mix of chocolate, almond and marshmallow that are distant after thoughts to what you can do with marshmallows.
Basic Application
But how else can we open you up to the wonderful world of marshmallows and all you can do with them? Let’s start with another basic. Adding marshmallows to your hot

drink. Go ahead and add a cinnamon-sugar marshmallow to your next cup of coffee. You get the sweetness of the marshmallow to balance out the bitterness of the coffee and the flavor of the cinnamon-sugar adds a flavor punch that elevates your coffee to the next level. Other coffee marshmallow additions might include caramel, hazelnut, or even peppermint.
Baked to Perfection
Sorta-healthy dessert dishes that you can make at home and enjoy with marshmallows include baked bananas (wrap a banana in aluminum foil with marshmallow and maybe a little chocolate bar and put it in the oven at 400 degrees F until the marshmallow (and chocolate if using) has melted, around 6-8 minutes) and be ready to enjoy!
On the same line, you could swap out the banana with apple and get a baked apple dessert that would be divine. Try this with the cinnamon-sugar or caramel marshmallow to add more flavor.

Or you could try for a super easy peachy cobbler. Cut a peach in half, soak it in butter, put it on a baking sheet, add cinnamon & sugar, and broil it for around 3-5 minutes. Take it out of the oven, and add a marshmallow to it, put it back to the oven for 2-3 minutes for a wonderful super simple homemade marshmallowy peach cobbler. Sprinkle with some graham cracker crumbs before serving. You might try this with a cinnamon-sugar marshmallow or maybe the lemon cookie or key lime marshmallow to add a bit of tartness to the flavor profile.
More Marshmallow Uses
Stick a marshmallow on a piece of pie, add it to your cupcake or cookies, cut some up
into your pudding or cereal; anyway you look at it, marshmallows have more uses than s’mores and incorporating them into your life can only bring a constant smile to your life.
